MASH

was a project funded by the European Commission Directorate General for Health and Consumer Protection. MASH focused on the problems with pre-hospital health care in mass-casualty situations following exposure to toxic chemicals and/or to radioactive materials.

MASH reviewed present praxis in EU 27 and recent advancements within biotechnology and ICT in order to suggest organizational measures that increase the competence and capability of the health care system, resulting in a better protection of the EU citizens. Accordingly, the MASH project built a considerable pan-European network with stakeholders in security relevant health issues.

The MASH project ended in October 2010.

Project Manager, Dr. Ann Göransson Nyberg
